This is our last chance to stop gas and nuclear from being labelled “green” activities in the list of EU sustainable investments, also known as taxonomy.
Ursula von der Leyen, if these technologies are classified as green they will receive millions of green investments, money that would have otherwise been used for low carbon renewables, such as solar or wind, and home insulation.
Some countries, led by France, are greenwashing their polluting pet industries, and have formed a coalition with other countries, like Poland or Hungary.
We live in a climate emergency! In the last year we have had massive fires, droughts, flooding, and heatwaves. Hence, investing in fossil gas and dangerous nuclear energy is madness.
Tell the European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen to stop greenwashing gas and nuclear energy!
