In the face of a climate crisis and a global pandemic, European governments have spent almost 30 billion euro bailing out airlines, without any meaningful environmental or social conditions.  On top of that, airlines have slashed jobs and are refusing to reduce emissions. The European Commission consented to airline bailouts, despite their incompatibility with a European Green Deal.

A second wave of bailouts is coming. This week, airline representatives are meeting at the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) annual general meeting and are likely to request more public money to line their pockets. Let's show national and EU politicians we won't let them off the hook.
